The Palestine JH Boys Cross Country Team competed in their second meet of the year in Madisonville on Wednesday afternoon. This meet the team was broken into two teams by grade.
The 8th graders won their race, with a perfect score, taking the top 7 spots. Izayiah Lara (1st), Santiago Giron (2nd), Greggorio Galindo (3rd), Gerardo Mora (4th) and Jordan Jackson (5th) were the scoring runners. Silas Walden (6th) and Pedro Ucelo (7th) also received top 10 medals.
The 7th graders finished second to host Madisonville in their race. Jonathan Perez (3rd), Isaac Bautista (4th), Angel Perez (6th), Guillermo Robles (10th) and Noah Middleton (11th) were the scoring runners for 7th grade.
The boys will travel to Canton next week for their third meet.
Ladycats JH Cross Country participated in the Madisonville Invitational on Wednesday August 28, 2024.
The meet was separated by grades, with 8th grade running at 4 and 7th grade running at 4:30. Both grades made a clean sweep bringing home 1st place team honors, and 11 individual medals.
8th grade top runners earning individual medals included Isabella Hernandez (placing 1st overall), Laura Chavez (3rd), Kyndal Pickard (5th), Yvana Ledesma (6th), and Bella Aguilar (9th).
7th grade top runners earning individual medals included Mia Perez (2nd), Johana Castillo (3rd), Adriana Retana (4th), Jacquelyn Ramirez (5th), Kendall Hernandez (8th), and Makayla Butler (9th). Great job all around by the young Ladycats!!!

The Palestine Wildcat boys cross country team traveled down to Madisonville today for the Mustang Wild Run meet.
Varsity finished 1st as a team with Baltasar Quevedo(2nd), Adrian Ramirez(8th), Alonso Escareno(9th), Angel Najera(15th), and Manny Campa(17th) as the scoring runners.
JV also took 1st as a team with Rolando Gallegos(1st), Sebastian DeSantiago(2nd), Santiago Alejo(4th), Dylan Hernandez(5th), and Nathan Lesama(6th) as the scoring runners. Emiliano Najera(7th), Eduardo Farias(9th), and Cason Brown-Johnson(10th) also received medals.
The Wildcats will be headed to Canton next week on Thursday September 5th.
