Ladycats JV (10-4-1, 2-0 in District) fall 2-1 at Tyler Legacy on Monday February 19, 2024, in a JV thriller.
Tyler Legacy were determined to get a result against the Ladycats after suffering a 2-0 loss earlier in the season. Tyler Legacy started the game with a very high press, catching the Ladycats completely off guard, taking advantage of a poor defensive clearance to grab a 1-0 lead just 5 minutes into the game. The Ladycats would be in their defensive half for the majority of the first half before Ana Ibarra sent a perfectly timed through ball to Kristal Ucelo to tie the game with just 40 seconds remaining on the clock for a 1-1 score at the break.
In the second half, Tyler Legacy once again capitalized on a defensive mistake early on for a 2-1 advantage. The game would continue to go back and forth, with the Ladycats growing in possession and offensive opportunities, but were unfortunate to not find the back of the net. Legacy held on for the 2-1 win.
Ladycats JV will be back in action on Tuesday February 20, 2024 hosting Jacksonville at 5 pm at Wildcat Stadium. Varsity to follow at 6:30. Thank you for your support!
