PISD Curriculum

The primary purpose of a school district is to educate every student and to prepare them for a variety of life choices upon graduation. This requires a school system to establish clear, valid and measurable standards for learning, which can be used to develop measurable objectives set into a workable framework for teachers. In Palestine ISD, these standards reflect the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, Career and College Readiness Standards, 21st Century skills and beliefs about what students should know and be able to do.

Palestine ISD is committed to the continuous improvement of the teaching and learning process. The district employs practices that facilitate the design, delivery and assessment of the curriculum. As a result, PISD will have an aligned, articulated and assessed curriculum that provides the foundation for all students to learn, succeed and compete.
