TAKE THE TSI (READING/WRITING & MATH)
Only required for attending Texas schools
Student must complete the Accuplacer Pre-assessment BEFORE signing up

There is no charge for PHS students to test
TAKE THE SAT/ACT (ONLY IF ATTENDING A 4-YEAR UNIVERSITY RIGHT AFTER HIGH SCHOOL) ***NOT REQUIRED IF TRANSFERRING FROM JUNIOR COLLEGE TO UNIVERSITY***
Register for SAT at www.collegeboard.org
Register for ACT at www.actstudent.org
Fee waivers are available for students that qualify for free or reduced lunch (see your school counselor)
CREATE FSA IDS FOR STUDENT & LEGAL GUARDIAN (THIS IS YOUR ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE FOR THE FAFSA)
Students and their legal guardian can create an FSA ID now at www.studentaid.gov
Keep your FSA ID information in a safe place
You must renew your FAFSA every October for financial aid for the following year
COMPLETE FAFSA (FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION)
You will complete the FAFSA at www.studentaid.gov
The FAFSA is open now for students planning to attend college Fall 2024
COMPLETE COLLEGE APPLICATION
You may find the common college application for Texas schools at www.applytexas.org
Check the college/university's website to see if they use Apply Texas or their own application
